Kajal and Manisha first met as two excited children in a Bharatanatyam dance class when they were just seven years old. Over the years, both their friendship and passion for Bharatanatyam blossomed as they attended the same schools and college. They supported each other through performances, milestones, and countless shared experiences—both on and off the stage.
Fittingly, the first Arangetrams they ever did makeup for were each other’s—a moment that sparked their passion for the artistry behind a dancer’s stage presence. Seeing firsthand how the right details could elevate a performance, they realized the need for a service that blended tradition, precision, and creativity.
With that vision, Kanmani Occasions was born—a one-stop solution dedicated to making every dancer feel confident, radiant, and truly unforgettable on their special day.

Meet The Founders
Kajal Dharmar
Kajal Dharmar is the creative force behind Kanmani Occasions, bringing her passion for artistry, marketing, and deep empathy to every project. With a natural ability to connect with people and an eye for detail, Kajal ensures that every event feels unique and deeply personal. Her focus on creativity and people-centered design makes her a key contributor to the unforgettable experiences Kanmani delivers. Trained in Bharatanatyam under Smt. Asha Adiga, Kajal has been dancing since the age of 5 and continues to refine her craft. Her journey into makeup artistry started in high school, doing hair and makeup for dance teams and events like homecoming, which led to her growing professional passion. This combination of artistry, marketing skills, and empathy is at the heart of Kajal's approach to every event she shapes.
Manisha Muthu
Manisha Muthu is the strategic mind behind Kanmani Occasions, where she combines her skills in event planning, innovation, and execution to craft seamless, memorable experiences. Known for her creativity, attention to detail, and strong networking abilities, Manisha ensures that each event is thoughtfully curated and flawlessly executed. With a background in Bharatanatyam under Smt. Vidya Babu, and more recnt experience in other Indian and fusion styles, her love for dance continues to grow. Her passion for makeup began in high school and evolved into a professional pursuit when she co-founded Kanmani in 2022. Whether planning, executing, or bringing new ideas to life, Manisha is dedicated to making each occasion special and truly unforgettable.
